Scania NG, 2017 - Pitman / Steering rod tool

Description

New unique method for easy disassembly of the Pitman/steering rod ball joint on Scania Next Generation. The tool makes it possible to disassemble the ball joint quickly and easily, no disassembly is required for access. The wheels are turned 70 – 90% to the right, good access is then possible under the vehicle. The hydraulic cylinder simply pushes the ball joint free with the help of a conical plate inside the support box.

No blows or breaks are required that could otherwise adversely affect the steering gear. The tight space between the frame and ancilleries inside the steps to the cab prevents the fitting of other tools without extensive disassembly.

The kit includes an 8.5T hydraulic cylinder (03-00015, part 7) and press parts (03-00047-010, part 1-6).
